And It Did Deliver As Promised - The Blooming Java Apple

Saturday, August 13, 2011 - - 0 Comments

As previously mentioned on my last post about Something To Expect For 2011, the promise has been fulfilled. The picture you've seen is an "almost-ripe" Java Apple but can readily be eaten if you're not patient enough to wait for some more days. And yes, I could have waited for few more days to get a better shot from these lovely fruit. But believe me, I was lucky to have the first hand shots. Because the day after these photos were taken, these fruits were like being stormed by locusts to have just disappeared from view.

Anyone who gets the chance to see this even for just a glance, can't help but give in to the temptation. I mean, really tempted to climb up and get you share. See the pictures below so you'll know what I mean. Didn't I mentioned that I need to climb up this tree to get a better shot? I wish I have a DSLR so that I don't need to get closer to get a better view.

You can now watch Manny Pacquiao versus Shane Mosley Live via Online Streaming. Well, not totally free though. But an additional P150 will be charged on your monthly subscription with PLDT Watchpad. Yes this is an exclusive offer from PLDT broadband subscriber. Unfortunately, this is only for Luzon and Visayas subscribers. I admit I am a PLDT subscriber myself but I am not paid for promoting this offer. Who doesn't want to watch the Pacquiao fight anyway? Well, just in case you missed the advertisement on TV, this is your chance to catch up. Just call 171.

When There's No One To Shoot For Us

Tuesday, February 22, 2011 - - 0 Comments

It was February 12 & 13. We were at the nearby resort to have our Pre-Valentine date with the family. Alex, our lovely daughter love waters so much. So we decided to spend the break to where Alex can do SPLASH. The food was not "really" good at a reasonable price but the ambiance of the place is totally awesome.

The short vacation was fun but of course, we all would want to keep memories of events. Piktur, piktyur! Or picture taking as we commonly know it. Unfortunately, there were times that we were at nice spots wherein nobody is there to shoot for us. But thanks to the technology, I was able to have a family picture without any help from anybody. It's called Photo Fuse. You may check my other blog on Exploring Photo Fuse. There's a short tutorials that anyone can do.

Here are some of the fused pics I made.

Well, the place was great and I don't need anyone to take the pictures for me. So I just fired up and here they are along with other pictures with the Family.

Well, nothing or no one spoiled  the day. Belated Happy Valentines everyone! It was indeed a very memorable event.

Something To Expect For 2011

Wax Apple Makopa 2010

A new year's resolution, a car, a house, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a baby or whatever. Keep it to yourself because it's none of the above or at least not now to some of them. A girlfriend or boyfriend could not apply. I am rather excited with our blooming Wax Apple. Some call it Java Apple or Love Apple. But locally, it's popularly known as "Makopa". After these flowers bloom, the fruit itself will slowly find its way out showing its beauty the reason why it's called Love Apple.

Well, let's just hope that the birds who occasionally drop by and winds wont spoil the excitement. And not to mention the cats who also love to chase along the branches. But if the birds, the cats and the nature loved the Makopa Tree as it is, then I should feel the same way as to whatever the outcome will be.

And to add the excitement, here's some of the close-up shots I got.

Noche Buena 2010

Friday, December 24, 2010 - - 0 Comments

We don't have much but we have enough. We have enough to celebrate Christmas in the midst of financial crisis. Surely enough, it's worthwhile to spare a portion of our budget to prepare for Noche Buena. With all the trials and hardships we've been through, great blessings is always there to complement. God have never failed to deliver His promise that He will never forsake us.

But most of all, our one and only Alex is reason enough to celebrate and to thank the Lord on His Day.

To each and everyone of us: Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year to All.

At Ninang Merlyn's Garden

Friday, November 26, 2010 - - 0 Comments

Alex at Ninang Merlins Garden
It was Saturday and didn't have much to do. It was also timely that a dear friend and a dedicated leader in our community invited us for a lunch buffet at her house. It was her son's birthday celebration. The food was awesome enough to satisfy my rumbling tummy. But the best part was when I saw those beauties around her garden and I couldn't but rush to that place and picked up my cheap digicam. What a great dessert for the eyes to see. And also a demanding request from my boss had to to be fulfilled by taking her pic with the goatie. Here are the rest of the shots. Enjoy!

David and Goliath - A Pacquiao & Margarito Aftermath

Sunday, November 14, 2010 - - 0 Comments

Pacquiao vs Margarito
This time, size doesn't matter. Besides the height and reach advantage, Antonio Margarito just turned out to be another punching bag of one of the greatest, now a Legend in the history of boxing - Manny Pacquiao. Although Pacquiao won via unanimous decision dominating every rounds, it was a hard fought win. Unlike Joshua Clottey who just stand on his guard all throughout the fight, Antonio Margarito has a great heart trying to prove himself worthy until the last seconds of the fight. Margarito's lost was not a shame at all. He fought a good fight that everyone on the globe wanted to see. He did carried with him the never-give-up spirit of the Mexicans. Congratulations also to Antonio Margarito.

Manny will be flying back to his proud countrymen with great pride and honor. Manny Pacquiao now sealed himself in the history of boxing and along with other greatest personalities in sports history. I would look forward to a rematch fight with Cotto not much with the Big-Mouthed Mayweather. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. would also make a good fight.

Now, it's public service time. We look forward as to how would Manny parred with other Congressmen. Good luck.
